Emily Kuhl is a third-year undergraduate student at Emory College, studying Biology and Global Health. She joined the lab in August of 2024, and is currently working with Dr. Yulin Jin in researching the role of R-Loops in neurological disorders and Dr. Yujing Li in epigenetic wet lab experiments.
Emily is especially interested in the intersections of biological mechanisms, community heath, and social justice, and has contributed to diverse research projects within genetics, global health, and environmental justice. After graduation, Emily plans to pursue a Masters in Public Health and continue exploring ways to help global communities through science, social justice, and policy.
