Emily is a current senior at Emory College, studying Biology and Global Health. She joined the lab in August of 2024, and is currently working with Dr. Yulin Jin in researching the role of R-Loops in neurological disorders and Dr. Yujing Li in epigenetic wet lab experiments.
Emily is especially interested in the intersections of biological mechanisms, community health, and social justice, and has contributed to several interdisciplinary research projects across the fields of genetics, global health, and environmental justice. After graduation, Emily seeks to pursue a PhD related to Health Services and/or Public Health and continue exploring ways to leverage science, social justice, and policy towards global health equity.
