Shannon Cao

I am a second-year student at Emory University, majoring in Biology and Integrated Visual Arts (Co-Major). I joined the Jin Lab in July 2025 and am currently working under Junghua Lim, where I conduct research on Drosophila flies. I am interested in identifying genetic modifiers associated with Fragile X and Fragile X-associated tremor ataxia syndrome (FXTAS). In my free time, I enjoy crafting, hiking, and volunteering with Emory EMS as a student provider (AEMT)
